Is what my friend doing with her daughter inappropriate?

Hi, my friend is a gyno and she has a three year old daughter. Every day she takes the little girl to work with her (her hubby is a lawyer and they are too cheap to spring for a babysitter). Sometimes she plays in the waiting room, sometimes she watches the patients get blood tests and ultrasounds done. Is this appropriate? What do you think?
