Seasonique and home pregnancy test?

my girlfriend is on seasonique birth control, and she took a home pregnancy test and it came up positive. She went to her gyno and that they said she wasnt pregnant but she has these cramps almost every day. I dont know what kind of pregnancy test she took at her gyno but they told her she wasnt pregnant. Im just so confused?!?! can seasoniques give a false positive for home pregnancy tests?
