Was this cruel what my mom did to me?

It never hurts to talk to a counselor. I feel like there is something more to that. Are you sure that the gyno appt had anything to do with the toy? As awkward as it might be, maybe talking to your mom might help you get some sort of closure. I can't say whether it was wrong or not without knowing the purpose of the pap.
