Are pills like adderal worth it?

ok, so at the moment im 17 about to turn 18 in a week and have re-do an extra year of highschool due to a shortage of credits i know this is terrible but not the end of the world. i have never done well in school as far back as i can remember.. but its time for me to graduate already and go to college i am strongly considering some kind of medication to help me concentrate better since i cannot concentrate at school, i get side tracked by EVERYTHING i know i am not stupid i can basically have a conversation with any one about anything and speak three languages. either way would something like adderal help me out in school? i think it would be best but im not entirely sure... i have even had teachers make comments about my lack of concentration
